Description

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

We have over 300 experienced and caring drivers supported by a team of dedicated and knowledgeable planners and dispatchers, ensuring our customer’s freight arrives safely and on time, every time. We have lanes across the Lower 48, and our network continues to grow.

POSITION PURPOSE

The National Sales Representative works to grow and nurture multiple accounts. The person is responsible for setting company targets and marketing goals. Duties include developing sales goals, consulting with management about overall monetary health of the organization, getting new contracts and overseeing salespeople.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Monitor the market and competitor activities.
  • Provide detailed sales forecasting.
  • Plan work assignments to meet transportation, operations or production goals.
  • Review orders, production schedules, sales, and shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences and material shipping dates, types, volumes, or destinations.
  • Confer with employees, supervisors, contractors, or other personnel to exchange information or to resolve problems.
  • Maintain or verify records of time, materials, expenditures, or sales goals.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit reports on work activities.
  • Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, issues, and provides support to the Operations Team when needed.
  • Coordinates data with Accounting and Operations Teams to manage expectations and accuracy.
  • Establishes and maintains positive and effective business relations with vendors, employees, and customers.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to build business.
  • Monitor project plans to ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Prospect with a “hunter” mentality using your industry contacts and networking.
  • Work daily with Freedoms Business Development team to develop warm leads into new business.
  • Build and manage your pipeline of new opportunities through Freedoms CRM Salesforce
  • Develop solid relationships with new accounts.
  • Work with Freedoms Brokerage support teams to establish pricing strategy and account execution plans.
  • Arrange in-person presentations to close the business and continue relationship building.
  • Establish credit terms and business requirements with the customer in-line with Freedoms goals and requirements.
  • Continue with account management after the sale, as needed, with a focus on further growth.
  • Review sales activity weekly with Management
  • Continue self-development.
  • Perform data analysis to track business performance and identify prospects to grow revenue and profit.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field
  • Masters in business administration preferred.
  • Strong background in marketing.
  • Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process.
  • Outgoing with proficiency in negation and the skill to close business deals.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Active listener: gives full attention to what other people are saying, takes the time to understand, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Critical thinker: uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Verbal and nonverbal communication to convey information effectively.
  • The ability to monitor and access performance of yourself, others, and processes to make improvements and take corrective action.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

REQUIREMENTS

  • An ability to identify areas of improvement and growth.
  • Able to recognize, comprehend, and obtain company goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identify potential problem areas and recommend strategies to solve and prevent issues.
  • A willingness to learn and respond to company changes.

WORK CONDITIONS

The National Sales Representative will work in an office environment. The standard hours of operation are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
