SUMMARY: 

As an Inventory Specialist you will support the internal supply chain operations and oversee day to day inventory processes. You will work hands on to ensure that all vendors and clients receive their orders on time and with attention to detail and accuracy. You will facilitate all cycle count processes, organization of stock and inventory, physical counts, and research of inventory discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Maintain consistent stock of inventory and routinely refills and reorders stock to pre-authorized limit
• Maintain precise and accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
• Read, interpret, and manage Excel documents
• Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items that should have automatic, recurring delivery
• Conduct and organize cycle counts, inventory control practices and procedures
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Ensures high levels of inventory accuracy, not only to support our company’s business objectives, but to contribute to the effective reduction of inventory-related costs
• Maintain transactional accuracy and assure compliance with SOP’s and audit requirements
• Provide inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control supervisors and managers
• Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
• Assists with periodic on-site inventory audits
• Adhere to all safety processes and policies in place. Actively participate in maintaining a safety culture and address safety issues proactively
• Implement and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the stockroom

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist with packaging and shipping when necessary to meet delivery deadlines as necessary
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education, Experience, Knowledge: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with cycle counts and researching inventory discrepancies
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in MRP tools such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or NetSuite
• Excellent time-management skills that enable you to consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math and computation skills

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to life 50-75 pounds
• Mobility and ability to bend, lift, push, pull, carry, and perform repetitive motion in the performance of job duties is required
