Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to fill the position of Inventory Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our stock room, efficiently kitting work orders and shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Proficiency in utilizing inventory management systems, particularly Business Central, is essential for this role. Bonus points if you have prior experience working with electronics inventory. The successful candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stock Room Management:
    • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the stock room.
    • Receive incoming shipments and ensure accurate documentation.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts to reconcile stock levels.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder requests as needed.
  • Kit Work Orders and Shipments:
    • Assemble kits accurately according to work orders or shipment requirements.
    • Verify contents of kits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Package kits securely for shipment, adhering to company standards.
    • Generate shipping labels and documentation as necessary.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Utilize inventory management software, particularly Business Central, to track stock movements and maintain accurate records.
    • Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages.
    • Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize excess stock.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct quality checks on incoming stock to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Inspect outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and condition of products.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and escalate as necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all stock transactions and adjustments.
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports for management review.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, such as Business Central.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with electronic inventory is advantageous.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
