Quality Engineer

SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the overall quality of our manufactured parts. The quality engineer will work alongside the Manufacturing Engineers and Production Teammates to ensure that our customers receive quality components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure compliance with current standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis on all customer issues in the field.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent poor quality.
• Create PFMEA for all manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with Field Service and Customer Service to understand issues in the field and provide feedback on findings and corrective actions.
• Set and Track quality assurance goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The position requires a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with experience in manufacturing quality. Candidates should have a customer centric attitude and be metric driven. Must be able to multi-task and be deadline oriented in a fast-paced, union environment. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook required.
