Responsibilities:

• Ensure all aspects of the quality assurance processes are properly executed as provided and instructed by the department manager.
• Ensure that food safety and customer quality requirements are met.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and comply with FDA/USDA standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Practice safe work habits in all situations.
• Operate scales, thermometers, calipers, and other equipment necessary to evaluate the quality of products.
• Perform equipment verifications/calibrations (pH, moisture, thermometer, scale).
• Evaluate the production line from start to finish to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production process.
• Perform pre-op and mid-shift inspections.
• Assist shipping withhold tags.
• Set up product show materials.
• Conduct end item exams (i.e., organoleptic, shelf life).
• Review and evaluate production records for completion and accuracy.
• Perform environmental testing (ATP swabs, sponges, water collection).
• Perform receipt inspection sampling.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic skills in using scales, thermometers, and other testing equipment.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and write English and complete relevant company documents.
• Ability to discern quality vs. non-quality product.
• Ability to understand and complete quality paperwork in assigned areas.
• Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
