JOB DESCRIPTION
About the role :
As a Mexico Carrier Sales Representative for TQL, you will be a pivotal member of one of our newest divisions. You’ll be responsible for establishing and developing new carrier relationships for our Mexico and cross-border sales team.
You’ll also assist with evaluating and improving existing relationships and utilization of our carrier network to support our customers’ transportation needs.

What you’ll be doing :
- Sourcing and qualifying new cross-border Mexico carriers
- Developing and analyzing KPIs to evaluate performance of existing carriers and communicating findings and recommendations for improvements to internal stakeholders
- Working with our operations team to maintain and improve service levels and implement new carrier initiatives
- Handling carrier disputes, accounting needs, and freight claims as needed
- Researching market trends to recommend process efficiencies that improve internal and external customer relationships
- Maintaining regular touchpoints with carriers to ensure service levels are meeting and exceeding expectations
- Monitoring capacity for our customers, addressing any issues, and notifying stakeholders of industry changes
What you’ll need :
- 5 years’ in Mexico carrier sales, cross-border experience preferred
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Ability to travel up to 50% - primary travel to Laredo
- Ability to travel to and from Mexico when needed
- Equipment to work remotely when not traveling to carrier appointments
- Strong carrier rate negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MS Suite skills Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with rapid and everchanging priorities
- High availability for internal and external customers we are 24 / 7 / 365
