TNA is currently looking for a Maintenance Planner . Our vision for this position is to minimize maintenance downtime by the daily planning and scheduling of maintenance work in assigned production areas.

This will include, developing job tasks and procedures, establishing manpower and equipment requirements, assist in specifying and ordering materials, developing schedules and charts, attending planning and scheduling meetings with assigned departmental personnel, other work as defined by immediate supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist as directed in overseeing and coordinating outside contractors on assigned projects to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Assist as directed in the development of standardized work procedures.
  • Assure proper approval of supplies, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Assist in the development of long range planning goals in support of TNA maintenance programs.
  • Communicate with TNA to complete assigned tasks, estimate, and follow through to completion.
  • Become familiar with the Toyo plant and process requirements.
  • Develops preventive maintenance program procedures for equipment and revises as required to continually improve equipment performance for standpoint of reliability, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Conducts running inspections on production equipment. Assists with shutdown inspections on production equipment.
  • Researches repair requirements, procure required parts, tools and specialized equipment as required.
  • Reviews spare parts availability and prepare New Stock Item Requests.
  • Maintains work backlog covering all Maintenance Activities.
  • Prepares reports as required.
  • Develops detailed work plans for equipment repairs and / or revisions on a daily basis and for Plant shutdown periods.
  • Prepares Funds Request covering items within area of responsibility.
  • Meets with Production Personnel for purpose of reviewing their maintenance needs and coordinates activities to handle same.
  • Provides follow up services, as requested, with stores delivery of out of stock items and periodically reviews stores inventories for adequate minimum / maximum levels and removal of obsolete items.
  • Problem solving activities directed toward elimination of maintenance downtime.
  • Prepares daily work schedule and monitors compliance.
  • Observes work in progress to ensure that work is performed as scheduled, prescribed procedures are followed, personnel performances are up to standard from a quality and timeliness standpoint and that good housekeeping is maintained.
  • Maintains equipment name plate data, machine history, significant activities, etc.
  • Coordinates the collection, organization, reporting and presentation of equipment maintenance data.
  • Coordinates predictive maintenance activities with Equipment Manager to include thermography, vibration analysis, oil analysis, motor electrical monitoring, etc.
  • Work with Crew Leaders to improve job plans to achieve Planning Accuracy goal.
  • Obtain and accurately report maintenance efficiency data to the Engineering Manager.
  • Develop standardized job plans for common maintenance tasks, such as seal replacements, and individual equipment requirements in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communications with all team members to support the development of short and long range planning in support of the company’s goals and objectives
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

Possess a high school degree or an approved GED. An Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management is preferred, but not required.

Basic knowledge of building codes, blue print reading, schematics, and plumbing diagrams. Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software programs.

Working knowledge of Datastream MP2 CMMS is required. Possess a minimum of five years’ experience in the industrial maintenance fields.

Experience in planning / scheduling, supervision, and estimating preferred.
