The Unit Secretary carries out secretarial duties related to the smooth functioning of their assigned nursing unit.
Must have knowledge of medical terminology, must be self-motivated, & be able to exercise sound judgment in response to inquiries by patients & visitors.
Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, concentrate on tasks being performed, & be adaptable to change. Must be able to multi task.
Must be able to perform duties quickly & accurately. Must be computer literate.
A : Licensure / Certification / Registration : None
B. Education : High School graduation required.
C : Experience : Minimum one year
Must have neat appearance & conform to dress code. Must be able to admit when wrong, but have self-confidence. Must act in professional manner at all times.
Degree of Supervision Required : Supervised by Nursing Dept. Unit Manager.
