Hotel Maintenance

  • Salary: 14-16 / hr

Job Type:

Full-time / Part-time

8-hour shift

Job Summary:

The maintenance staff is responsible for operating, maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment as assigned. They are also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and other work orders as assigned. They are also responsible for performing safely and efficiently and may be required to do trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate hand and power tools and read, interpret, and measure metering devices, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and operating instructions.
  • Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Regularly engage in all types of preventative maintenance, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues with little or no supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical equipment, and other guest room items.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and the complete and thorough clean-up of the affected area.
  • Check all exterior lighting, public area lighting, and signage daily. Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
  • Conduct AM and PM property walks. Respond to all pages and radio calls immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area by hotel standards.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information and materials.
  • Read and process all work orders promptly and notify the manager of maintenance issues.
  • Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk.

  • Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • College Station, TX 77840: Relocate before starting work (Required)
