Serviceperson I (Streets/Stormwater)


Wages/Hours:
$26.13-$30.58

40 hours wk. (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. / ½ hr. lunch)

Closing Date: May 24, 2024 (3:30 p.m.)

Position Description: Under direct supervision, assists in maintaining and repairing Town of Steilacoom streets and storm drains.

Full Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Good driving record.

3. Must be able to comply with all requirements that pertain to this position under Washington

Administrative Code (WAC) Chapter 296.

Additional Qualifications (The applicant must possess or obtain the following within six

months of date of hire.)

1. Washington Industrial First Aid Certificate

2. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certification

3. Washington State Flagging Card

4. Washington State Class “B” Combination Driver’s License with tanker

endorsement.

Physical Requirements: Position requires walking, standing (in a stationary position for long periods of time), stooping, kneeling, and moving/lifting/transporting up to 60 pounds. The incumbent must be able to traverse uneven terrain as the worksite is the outdoor environment. The incumbent must be able to navigate safely in a traffic environment.

Terms of Employment: This is a full-time position. Responding to after-hours emergencies is required. The incumbent may elect to be covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
