The Southern Pines Parks & Recreation department enhances life for the Town’s citizens by providing quality parks & recreation facilities as well as year-round, affordable, and engaging athletics, camps, programs, classes, and special events. The Director oversees the department’s strategic and financial planning as well as the daily administrative and operations functions through a variety of full-time staff as well as part-time and seasonal staff and contracted instructors. The Director’s work is performed under the general supervision of an Assistant Town Manager.

It is important for you to understand that the pay range shown represents the minimum and maximum of the grade for this position. We are looking for an experienced professional and anticipate a hiring range of $85,000 - $100,000 for such an individual. We look at every candidate individually and will make sure that your starting pay offer will be competitive based on the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities YOU bring to the table.
