Town of Leesburg, Virginia is Hiring an Utility Maintenance Worker (Summer) Near Leesburg, VA

Nature Of Work

This summer position involves entry-level manual utility labor performing maintenance and repairs on utility buildings and grounds for the Department of Utilities.Duties include: painting duties at facilities or on existing fire hydrants, ground maintenance work such as cleanup, mowing grass, landscaping, trimming bushes, and removing trees. And assisting with the maintenance of equipment including lawn equipment, tractors, and chain saws. Assist with custodial and facility maintenance. Operate a variety of tools and equipment. Performing light equipment preventative maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication and HVAC filter replacement. Assist staff with assigned duties.Work Schedule: This is a temporary position from May - August working 40 hours per week (6:30 am to 3:00 pm).

Required Qualifications

HS/GED. Possess valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to work under adverse weather conditions. Temporary position May - August 40, hours per week, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English/Spanish
