What You'll Be DoingThis position involves responsible skilled and semiskilled maintenance work in the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects- Streets Division that can include performing maintenance and repair activities on Town streets, parks and grounds. Work also includes assisting with special community events. Work requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.This position generally works Monday-Friday from 6:30am-2:30pm, including some holidays and weekends for special events and/or being on-call for operational needs. Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is required.For a more detailed job description, please visit the Town's .
Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a high school diploma or completion of a GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing a variety of skilled trades and/or maintenance work.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment and construction skills.
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and a safe driving record.
  • Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of specific road maintenance experience, including repair and snow removal; experience with the use of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
