The Town of Holly Springs is seeking an Information Technology Technician 1 to join the Information Technology Department. The IT department is a team of very innovative and talented professionals who love what they do. The team is passionate about technology and how it is used to improve the organization and quality of life for the residents of the town.
Technicians provide direct support to end users and are expected to provide professional, courteous, and prompt service. They need a wide range of generalized technical support skills and will handle all issues with urgency and understand that reported issues may be preventing town employees from performing their tasks. Support is provided primarily in person, supplemented by e-mail, telephone, or other approved communication methods. This position is fully in-office and not remote. Annual starting salary is $60,978.59 (pay grade J).
Work Schedule:
The typical work schedule is during Town business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The technician selected for this opening will be required to attend Town Council meetings approximately three Tuesday evenings per month to manage the meeting live stream and video production, as well as ensuring technology is operational throughout the meeting. Occasional night and weekend work will be required due to system upgrades, implementations, and system issue resolution. On-call support may be required.

Associate’s degree in a computer related degree program, or at minimum two years of direct support experience. A combination of education and experience outside of this minimum may be considered.
