Description

The Town of Davie has transitioned to a four (4) day work week schedule (10 hours per day). Hours of work are Monday through Thursday either 7:00am-5:30pm or 7:30am-6:00pm.
Under limited supervision, performs civil engineering work in the design, inspection, construction and maintenance of public works and utilities projects and facilities. Also coordinates and reviews design and construction of private projects to ensure compatibility with Town ordinances and facilities. Is responsible for closely inspecting projects under construction and ensuring facilities are maintained in accordance with the proper engineering practices and techniques. Reports to the Assistant Town Engineer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field;
  
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the design and construction of public works projects.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:

• Possession of a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED:

• Registration as an Engineer-In-Training in the State of Florida or ability to obtain same within one year of employment.
