TOWN OF CASTLE ROCK is Hiring a Golf Cook Near Castle Rock, CO

The working schedule for these positions are 24-40 hours per week. Work days are 3-5 days a week. Must be able to work weekends. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service by assisting dining room customers
  • Assists with ordering / receiving and rotating food and beverage product
  • Prepares for and cooks daily menu, specials and tournament items
  • Sanitizes kitchen and ensures adherence to all health department requirements
  • Performs set-up, planning and serving of special events

Minimum Qualifications:

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: At least 6 months cooking experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: One to two years’ cooking experience preferred with a demonstrated commitment to quality food and beverage service 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in food and beverage operations
  • Ability to understand verbal information and instructions
  • Ability to read and understand written material
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers and customers
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships

Physical Demands:

  • Moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to stand for periods of four or more hours 
  • Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting
  • Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles
  • Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
  • Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens

Work Environment:

  • Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, smoke, and grease

Equipment Used:

  • This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment

Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
