The Town Hall Grill in Chapel Hill’s Southern Village is looking for a professional with high energy, good communication skills, and a welcoming personality to join our team as a host or hostess!

Requirements:

• Strong communication and people skills (top priority)

• Strong multitasking skills (top priority)

• Able to stand for long periods of time (required)

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner.

• Seating guests according to the seating system.

• Monitoring restaurant activity to facilitate dining flow.

• Communicating directly with clients over the phone.

• Taking and managing reservations.

• Ability to multi-task when ringing in to-go orders, taking payments using a POS (point of sale) system, and making sure guests receive to-go orders in a timely manner.

• Responding to guest inquiries and requests with compassion and efficiency. This includes thorough understanding of menu knowledge to ably answer guests' questions pertaining to food

• Performing opening and closing duties.
• Assist in bussing and resetting tables

• Assisting other team members wherever necessary to support the Town Hall Grill team and maintain positive working relationships.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
