Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bakery operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties: - Assist with the preparation and production of bakery items such as bread, pastries, and desserts - Operate kitchen equipment and follow recipes to ensure consistent quality - Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register or Aloha POS system - Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their bakery needs - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including cleaning workstations, equipment, and utensils - Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of bakery products - Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking bakery supplies - Collaborate with the bakery team to meet production goals and maintain product availability Qualifications: - Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment is preferred but not required - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Basic math skills for cash handling and recipe measurements - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude - Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations - Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems, preferably Aloha POS Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
