TouchPad Electronics, Inc. is Hiring an Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Mukwonago, WI

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring facilities and equipment integrity, timely repair, and overall management of the PM system.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with the goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
  • Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
  • Perform mechanical, electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment to protect the safety and health of others.
  • Oversee general housekeeping standards for all areas of the facility.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed.
  • Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures, Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), personal safety standards, as well as OSHA standards.
  • Maintain complete records of work performed detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Identify required parts, maintain current inventories and parts reorder lists.
  • Properly cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate onsite service engineers when required.

Key Behavioral Competencies:

  • Able to learn basic computer skills to process work orders.
  • Able to maintain, troubleshoot and install bearings, seals and gaskets, compressed air systems and basic plumbing/piping, align gearboxes, sprocket/chains, belts, clutches, bearings and brakes, conveyors and belting.
  • Able to identify and use basic measuring tools for mechanical repair (Ex: Calipers, Micrometers)
  • Able to identify and correctly disposition chemicals and lubricants in mechanical PM and repair.
  • Able to work from drawings, schematics, sketches and through verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment on assigned projects/ tasks and report to supervision the status of each as needed.
  • Able to demonstrate practical problem-solving skills
  • Able to collaborate with team members
  • Able to develop Maintenance skills through assigned training.

Education and Work History:

  • Required Education: Associate's degree in related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
