We are currently seeking the right person to join our growing Maintenance team as a Floor Care Technician. As a Floor Care Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring that the floors in all areas of our beautiful campus are clean and well-maintained. By taking great pride in duties such as vacuuming and steam cleaning carpets; maintaining the cleanliness of entryway and common area flooring; stripping and waxing hard floors; and keeping walls and baseboards clean, you will contribute to the five-star appearance of our community. The ideal candidate will: Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Have experience in a custodial position; experience in floor care is preferred Have a “can do” attitude towards their work and be passionate about maintaining a five-star site appearance Be able to read, write, and speak English in order to effectively communicate with residents and team members, and have the physical ability to perform tasks that require continuous walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
