Toth & Associates, Inc. is hiring a Transmission Planning Engineer to add to our growing team! The primary duties of a Transmission Planning Engineer are developing and maintaining power system models and conducting power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, and total transfer capability studies. The Transmission Planning Engineer will develop long range transmission plans and study generator interconnections and shall meet TOTH and client quality standards.
The candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to explain complex topics to non-engineers. The candidate should have working knowledge of transmission and distribution systems including the per-unit system, transmission line parameters, transformers, protective relaying, and short circuit. Preference will be given to a candidate with knowledge of PowerWorld Simulator, Siemens PSS/E, GE PSLF, or Aspen Oneliner.
