Position Overview:
As an Early Intervention Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring the well-being and growth of young children by orchestrating early intervention programs and services. Your mission involves close collaboration with families, educators, healthcare professionals, and community resources to craft individualized plans that empower children with developmental delays or disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Assess & Empower: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify developmental delays or disabilities in children. Collaborate with families to understand their child's needs, concerns, and aspirations.
Tailored Support: Develop individualized early intervention plans that align with each child's unique strengths and needs.
Engaging Activities: Plan and conduct both one-on-one and group activities to enhance social development and interaction among children.
Team Coordination: Coordinate and monitor intervention strategies with multidisciplinary teams. Provide steadfast support, resources, and counseling to families.
Record & Advocate: Maintain detailed and updated records while staying informed about the latest research and best practices in child development.
Community Impact: Be a vocal advocate for the rights and inclusion of children with developmental challenges. Execute outreach programs and collaborate with community organizations to create strong support networks for families.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in Child Development or Early Intervention.
AA/BA Degree in Child Development or related field preferred.
Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrate familiarity with CMS conditions of participation, CDPH state regulations, CCS, and TJC accreditation requirements relevant to the role.
Exhibit proficiency in using computer and relevant software applications for job-related tasks.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Display the ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
Handle confidential information with care and in accordance with established protocols.
