The Facility Director is a registered nurse responsible for assisting Corporate and facility Medical Director in the achievement of the facility and organizational goals and objectives. The Facility Director is responsible for the leadership, management, and supervision of all staff in the center with the goals of promoting excellent patient care, patient satisfaction and compliance with local, state, federal, and accrediting agency (when applicable) regulations and standards. The Facility Director assists with the mentoring, coaching and counseling the staff. They also assist with administrative tasks as assigned that include but are not limited to the departmental inventory and ordering of supplies, staffing, nursing chart audits, and monitoring quality indicators. Other requirements of the role include critical thinking under pressure with the ability to intervene in crisis situations and being a customer service role model for the goal of maintaining Total Point’s Emergency Center’s mission statement. The Facility Director will oversee making sure the facility is functioning efficiently daily, in addition to ensuring staff compliance of Total Point Emergency Center’s policies and procedures. This position is at our "Northwest hwy" location in Dallas, TX
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining compliance standards with local, state, and federal regulatory and accreditation agencies pertaining to the overall facility, pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology department
- Maintains facility compliance standards through daily, weekly, monthly, and intermittent responsibilities and duties (may delegate some duties as deemed appropriate)
- Maintains awareness of current Total Point Emergency Center’s administrative and operational policies and procedures that impact position specific responsibilities
- Responsible for the monitoring of equipment for proper functionality and contacting biomed company or specific vendors (if applicable) for maintenance, repairs, or replacement as needed or recommended by manufacturer
- Responsible for effective supply chain management (medical, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and front office)
- Responsible for cost containment through the appropriate ordering and conservation of supplies, equipment, and management of personnel overtime
- Maintains additional budgetary cost controls as outlined by the Governing Board or Senior Leadership
- Responsible for overall laboratory management, including compliance and auditing, identification and resolution of errors, and staff education
- In conjunction with the Lead Radiology Technologist, responsible for overall radiology department management, including compliance and auditing, identification and resolution of errors, and staff education
- In conjunction with the Lead Administrative Assistant, responsible for overall front/business office management, including compliance and auditing, identification and resolution of errors, and staff education
- In conjunction with the Pharmacist in Charge, responsible for overall pharmacy management, including compliance and auditing, identification and resolution of errors, maintaining the security and integrity of medications, and staff education
- In conjunction with the facility Marketing Liaison (when applicable), actively participates, monitors, and evaluates facility specific marketing initiatives and goals
- Evaluates the quality of patient care by implementing and auditing quality indicators to ensure compliance with Total Point Emergency Center’s and patient care standards
- Resolves identified problems associated with patient care or facility matters in an effective and timely manner
- Demonstrates current and comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conjunction with recognized patient care standards including the Patient Bill of Rights and state Nurse Practice Act
- Responsible for QAPI program implementation, management, and evaluation
- In conjunction with the Facility Medical Director, Lead Radiology Technologist, and Lead Administrative Assistant, prepares and holds monthly facility staff meetings
- Serves as the hiring manager for the facility
- Responsible for ensuring the facility is appropriately staffed at all times
- May include working clinical shifts in times of need
- Responsible for the accountability of facility staff members to complete assigned duties
- Responsible for the supervision, training, orientation, development, competency, and evaluation of facility staff

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred
- At least 8 years of Emergency Room RN experience and Freestanding ER experience (Preferred)
- At least 3 year of leadership or management experience, (Preferred)
- Must be BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified (Required)
LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write general correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSES
- Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Current Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
