Job Description:

We are currently looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to fill the position of Director of Rehab (DOR) to provide support in the Cincinnati, Ohio area primarily in Sharonville, Mt Washington, and surrounding areas. This will be a split role position. You will provide 15-20 treatments per week and perform the duties of a Director of Rehab (DOR). Prior experience in the Director of Rehab position is preferred. 

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) would be responsible for following up with the plan of care set by the therapist, performing treatments, and communicating with the supervising therapist regarding patient progress. Must be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Ohio. We utilize a universal electronic documentation system.

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) would be responsible for following the plan of care set by the therapist, performing treatment visits, and communicating with the supervising therapist regarding patient progress. Must be a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the State of Ohio. We utilize a universal electronic documentation system. 

Director of Rehab Job Duties:

• Work with facility nursing staff and DON to identify potential therapy candidates.
• Send in referrals to office staff from facility.
• Work with facility NP or Dr to obtain orders for therapy and face to face visit notes
• Call outside doctor offices to request therapy orders and request visit notes
• Call POA to notify them of therapy need and to obtain consent for treatment
• Keep facility staff, DON, updated as to who is on therapy and when new therapy cases will be evaluated and seen.
• Keep ongoing caseload lists for all facilities managed, including date of start of care, reassessment, and discharge dates that is to be shared with DON weekly
• Work with home health agencies partners to help with obligations community events in facilities.
• Assist with monthly weights and vitals checks, exercise classes, and community events
• Ensure weekly family updates are being completed by therapists treating the patients
• Give therapist update on new referrals and any important information relayed to you by POA or facility staff
• Manage and mitigate complaints from therapists, family members, patients, facility staff 
• Ensure any rented space by TCT is neat and orderly. Trash taken out, supplies and equipment is put away and maintained etc. In charge of making sure any and all supplies or equipment needed is available at the facility for therapist to utilize such as consent forms, cleaning supplies, theraband.
• Ensuring waivers for residence to use equipment in gym are signed
• Orienting new staff to building and building staff
• Assisting with setting therapist schedules
• Being available to help therapy staff with documentation questions or clinical questions
• Assisting with training new staff
• Overseeing patient and facility satisfaction with therapy staff

Compensation: competitive/negotiable/experience-based.
