Total Aerospace Services is Hiring a Chief Inspector in Charlotte, NC Near Charlotte, NC

Our client is looking for a skilled Chief Inspector to join their team in Charlotte, NC. As a Chief Inspector at an Aviation Repair Station, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the direction, planning, and execution of inspection standards, methods, and procedures for all aspects of aircraft inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and mandatory service instructions.
  • Conduct final inspections and authorize return to service of aircraft, engines, appliances, and components.
  • Supervise and train personnel within the inspection department.
  • Manage inspection records, reports, and forms to ensure accuracy and proper execution.
  • Perform periodic checks on inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration of precision test equipment.
  • Act as the point of contact with the FAA when Repair Station Director is unavailable.
  • Conduct annual training for repair station maintenance personnel and stay updated on industry training standards.
  • Lead repair station vendor audits and maintain current technical publications for aircraft worked on.
  • Coordinate with FAA Inspections and manage technicians' training files.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and inspection.
  • Proficiency with relevant FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Willingness to promote safety culture within the workplace.
