Summary

The PM Journey Welder powder coats Tosoh products and protects the quality of the products with testing and necessary repairs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare the surface of Tosoh products for powder coating.

• Inspect work both pre and post powder to ensure product meets or exceeds quality expectations.

• Successfully powder coat products.

• Protect quality by testing finishes & working with supervisor to address concerns.

• Determine if a defective product should be rejected or if corrective action should be taken.

• Touch-up and/or repair finished parts as necessary.

• Maintain all necessary equipment and tools.

• Ensure work area is clean, secure and well maintained.

• Follow all safety standards.

• Other duties as may be assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic math and computer skills

• Strong knowledge on powder coating different materials/surfaces, etc.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings.

• Ability to work effectively with different personnel throughout the workday.

• Strong machining skills or training would be a plus.

• Commitment to dependability, quality, and safety.

• D1. 1 certification preferred, but not required. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular and routine basis.

• Frequent bending/twisting required.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
