Main Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer networks. Primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. The position will also be responsible for working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems. A Network
Engineer is responsible for:
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business or Computer Science, or any related field.
Skills and Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
• 8 years of Network Engineering and End User support experience.
• Experience with Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server Administration, Remote Desktop Services, Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Office Suite, and PC imaging applications is necessary.
• Provide second and third level support for common IT issues such as network connectivity issues, firewall set-up and troubleshooting and remote access questions.
• Experience with Office 365 Administration and software.
• Experience with Network Monitoring Applications.
• Experience supporting users in a Microsoft Exchange environment.
• Experience with support of Teams phone system.
• Experience with iOS phones and tablets as well as Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
• Regular participation in a 24x7 on-call phone support rotation and occasional work during non-standard work hours is required.
