Job Description:

Salary Range: $58,600 - $85,040

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.

Torch Technologies is currently seeking an Executive Assistant in support of the USSPACECOM J6 Director, Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff. The successful candidate will work directly for a United States Senior Executive Service II civilian, and/or senior military / civilian leaders; thus, the successful candidate will have the upmost professional skills, effective and efficient communication skills, strong organizational skills, and self-motivation. The individual will be responsible for administrative functions in support of the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and front office. The individual will ensure the most efficient and effective support is provided to the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and front office in the execution of his/her responsibilities. Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

The Individual will:

  • Responsible for generating, prioritizing, and managing correspondence for J6 senior leadership
  • Coordinates all meetings, pre-briefs, and other events with other organizations, individuals, and staff
  • Manage J6 conference room schedule requests (internal and external to J6) to minimize conflicts
  • Manages all CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements for J6 senior leadership using the Defense Travel System (DTS)
  • Responsible for the maintenance and quality control of files and correspondence
  • Develops internal operating procedures for routine office functions
  • Maintains and manages J6 senior leadership calendars, has authority for commitment of time
  • Receives, screens, and answers telephonic and personal visitors/guests, answering inquiries and making referrals as appropriate
  • Handles classified materials and/or matters of confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Types a variety of other materials in final form from rough drafts, notes, or oral instructions
  • Forecasts potential requirements, deconflicts problems, and plans and projects time for historically recurring requirements
  • Works with Directorate elements to make available documents, speeches, position papers, and briefings for J6 senior leadership use in meetings, briefings, and social functions
  • Utilize computers, office hardware, and software to perform word processing, email, graphics, calendars, and database management
  • Administrative duties such as ordering office supplies, filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
  • Manage the Directorate’s assigned tasking’s using the Task management tool (TMT)) on the NIPRnet and SIPRnet coordinating with action officers to ensure they are aware of assigned tasks and due dates.
  • Manage SharePoint portal systems to enable file sharing and collaborative work environments
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Handle multiple projects - prioritize and arrange work requirements to accomplish goals and ensure work is completed
Job Requirements:

Must be efficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Both education and professional experience will be considered. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Position requires that the candidate possess a TOP SECRET W/ SCI security clearance to access classified material. Inability to obtain/maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.

  • Active DOD TS/SCI clearance required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working at a higher headquarters (i.e. Department of Defense, Joint, Combined, or Combatant Command Headquarters)

This position is located on Government Site in Colorado Springs, CO.

Travel is not anticipated with this position.
