We are seeking an engaging Demand Planner that can understand our customer forecast and transform it into a Demand Plan that is the foundation of our Sales and Operations Planning Process. You love working with people and you are crazy about analytics. You come to us with the ability to compile and analyze large sets of data with an eye for detail. Your demand plan guides the finance and supply chain processes and provides key inputs for the near-term planning cycle and the next 3 years. As our business continues to grow, you are someone who eagerly embraces the unknown and finds solutions to new and unfamiliar challenges.

SUCCESS FACTORS (First 12-18 months)
  • S&OP Process: You guided the sales team through the S&OP process with passion and gusto. You scheduled the pre-demand planning meetings and focused on the customer level forecast. As a key S&OP team member you worked with the Sales and Marketing Teams to gain consensus on the forecast, which ensured alignment. You worked through the process to keep the demand plan current as you documented drivers and updated the forecast.
  • Managing S&OP Product Families: You worked with the cross-functional team to identify risks and opportunities and then you set realistic expectations about what the business could deliver. You gained alignment with cross-functional partners to achieve world-class forecast accuracy at all the S&OP family levels . You became the key person that updated the system and passed information to our various partners in the supply chain.
  • Customer Base Expert: You learned all the important facts about our customer base and worked with the sales team to shape demand. When the sales team learned about new business or promotions, they called you because of your amazing partnership! “How many customers do we have in each channel?” “What’s the lead time for new product launches?” This is where you shine as you have become the subject matter expert on your team. In the rare case that you needed to look something up, you organized your files and ensured that the information was readily available.
  • Scenario Planning and Analytics: You generated multiple planning scenarios and created a picture of low, medium, and high demand. Your assessment included statistical analysis, historical shipment trends, and demand assumptions. You ensured the forecast was updated at the item/customer-level and then updated the forecast in our planning tool. Once you completed your analysis, you facilitated meetings where you presented your recommendations to the team and helped them to make an informed decision.
  • Metrics and KPIs: You monitored monthly performance indicators, which ensured that the forecast continually improved. You created exception reports and focused on the areas of the business that needed the most attention. In alignment with the S&OP Process, you used this information to improve the forecast by adjusting the item, region, and customer-level forecast.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • 2-3 years of experience as a demand planner
  • Experience participating in S&OP meetings
  • Fluent in complex Excel formulas, and VLookups
  • Experience with conducting statistical analysis
  • BA/BS or commensurate experience required
  • Experience with a large ERP (i.e. Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience planning consumable products
  • APICs or IBF certification preferred
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
Salary Range: $109,270.13 - $133,552.38
