Role
Performs analyses and assists in recommendations on a variety of treasury activities including, but not limited to, Asset Liability Management (ALM), investment settlement, Line-of-Credit management and accounting, cash management [internal] Topside cash management and allocation [external] backup member wire transfer function and Fedline oversight, monitoring of liquidity sources and future liquidity needs, advance of lines-of-credit and maintenance of pledged assets to LOC providers as directed by CFO, assist with budget preparation and monthly budget variance reporting, ad hoc reports and studies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Asset Liability Management (ALM) duties - ALM file creation and balancing with outside provider, monthly preparation of ALCO reports, error checks of ALM analysis and reporting, review AL model assumptions and propose changes as necessary for ALCO consideration, create AL training presentations for ALCO.
• Credit Union Cash Management - Continually assess and manage the allocation of Topside cash liquidity to credit union depository accounts. Priority will be given to near-term future liquidity needs/concentration risk/rates paid by each correspondent. Monitoring of asset pledges to LOC providers and can advance LOC's at the direction of the CFO.
• Bond Settlement/Accounting - Track purchase/sale and maturing investments. Review bond accounting reports for expected cash flows and report to senior management expected excess cash liquidity. Manage all pledged investments and replace maturing investments to insure ready access to liquidity. Produce consolidated reporting on projected cash flows, investment concentrations, premium exposure, other for ALCO and Board reporting.
• Backup Member Wire Transfer - Facilitate member wire transfers according to all laws/regulations and policies.
• Other ALM Studies and Reviews - Conduct and maintain a calendar for periodic review of all asset liability related credit union activity. Studies to include assessing core deposit/decay for member accounts; loan average lives per loan type; seasonal asset changes and create related liquidity projection tools; etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

Experience

Two to Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or other related fields, or more than 5-years' experience in a similar
role. CPA or CFA a plus.

Interpersonal Skills

The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.

Other Skills

Ability to break complex directions into workable task and execute with minimal direction. Bilingual a plus.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public
facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information

Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of member service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able
to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
