SKILLS:
Excellent customer service, telephone and typing skills are a requirement for this position. Remaining professional, even when helping an angry customer, is paramount to succeeding as a customer service representative, as is knowing and being able to explain relevant information to customers who call in with questions. Must be able to multitask, stay focused and work when scheduled.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide the first point of customer contact for inquiries such as pricing, product information, shipments, distributor search information and orders through phone and / or email interaction
· At the direction of the Inside Sales Rep and / or Sales Manager, completion of pricing quotes may be requested and provided to the customer
· Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders, communication and coordination with other departments to resolve inquiries
· A return communication by phone, email, or confirmation of orders must be completed within a 24 hour period
· Build and maintain customer loyalty by providing prompt friendly service
· Support the Sales Managers and Inside Sales Reps in a variety of administrative tasks as required
· Provide and assist with technical information about Topp products
DATA ENTRY:
Data entry is a large part of the customer service position. You may need to collect a customer’s name, address, phone number or other information to verify their account. You may also collect information to set up information about a new customer and provide pricing (with approval from Inside Sales Rep and / or Sales Manager), product, shipment and distribution information. You may also need to document information about your customer interaction, including leaving notes for the next customer service representative who speaks with the customer.
OTHER DUTIES:
While your primary responsibility is collecting and accurately entering customer information, you may also respond to customer inquiries, help them resolve problems or direct them to appropriate resources. As the primary point person between your employer and the customer, your interactions with a customer can mean the difference between them being a one-time or repeat customer.
