Accountant/Bookkeeper Job Duties

· Assist with general ledger, account reconciliations and journal entry functions

· Produce income statements and balance sheets

· Prepare and review financial reports

· Assist with internal and external audits

· Assist with commercial tax filings

· Perform month/year-end functions

· Perform accounts payables and accounts receivable functions, as needed

· Maintain accounting procedures manual

· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws

Accountant/Bookkeeper Qualifications

· 5 years of accounting experience

· Knowledge of basic accounting principles

· Advanced Excel skills

· Positive attitude, excellent organizational and communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently

· Goal oriented and handle tasks with a sense of urgency

· AS400 and smtr experience preferred
