Overview

Topco Associates is currently seeking an A/P Specialist for our Treasury department in Itasca, IL.This position will be a hybrid role, with the successful candidate conducting work in our Itasca office three days per week and virtually two days per week.

The A/P Fuel Specialist process invoices and payments to Fuel Suppliers. Monitor and track outstanding invoices for timely resolution. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies for the timely issuance of payments. Reconcile payments against bank balances. Provide exceptional customer service for fuel suppliers.

Responsibilities

Invoice Processing

• Process invoices with the appropriate due dates based on account set up
• Create down payments for invoices that are unable to be resolved timely
• Track and monitor invoices that are outstanding
• Collaborate with internal teams for resolution of invoice discrepancies

Payment Disbursement

• Issue daily payments under fuel bank account
• Monitor and track all invoices setup for ACH debit to approve drafted payments
• Collaborate with internal teams for proper payment applications

Reconciliations

• Perform monthly reconciliations of fuel transactions against bank balance
• Perform daily balancing functions for A/P

Other

• Maintain fuel email inbox and provide exceptional customer service for fuel suppliers
• Participate in weekly fuel team discussions for A/P
• Assist with the setup of new fuel supplier accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Knowledge:

Knowledge of using and navigating an A/P system, SAP experience preferred. Excellent skills in MS Excel, problem solving and analytical skills

Experience:

1-2 years Accounts Payable or Treasury experience
