POSITION OFFERED: Resident Director
EMPLOYMENT DATE: ASAP
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Renewable, Full-Time, 12-Months
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Resident Director (RD) is directly responsible for the administration, academic, and social learning environment of the residents in one or more residence halls. The RD is a member of the Student Life group, and reports to the Director of Residence Life. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The RD is required to live on-campus. The RD works with the Resident Assistants and staff to provide a supportive, challenging, and rewarding community environment where students can live and learn.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or related field; or a Bachelor’s degree and residential life experience required.
EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: $58,458 annually - As a Faculty Student Association employee, this appointment includes retirement benefit with 9% employer match after one year of employment. Also, includes attractive Health Care options with employer cost sharing and supportive work-life balance with 16 holidays, 20 vacation and 12 sick days per year along with tuition assistance in addition to other benefits offered by the Faculty Student Association. Tompkins Cortland Community College is one of 30 community colleges and 64 campuses in the State University of New York system. Located in Dryden, the college serves more than three thousand students in credit programs and another three thousand in non-credit workshops and customized training. The college offers more than 45 academic programs in business, computers, health, communications, liberal arts, criminal justice, and human services. Specific degree programs include broadcast production, computer forensics, engineering science, new media, sport management, hotel and restaurant managemen...t, wine marketing, and several liberal arts programs, including education and general studies.
