Summary

The Social Media Coordinator for Ferry International gets to help set the path forward, socially, for a very well-known business within its vertical with a highly engaged audience. The SMC will aid in growing an already established social following by bringing sound judgment and analytics, new ideas, persistent follow-up, and creative thinking to a key role within the Marketing department. 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the management of all Tom Ferry /Ferry International Social Media channels 
  2. Work closely with Social Media Manager to deliver social media needs, including graphics, copywriting, or posting videos for multiple departments within the organization
  3. Work in platform to post content accurately and on time
  4. Utilize social media management and listening software to engage, educate, and address customer service-related questions 
  5. Develop monthly reports that identify spend, return-on-investment and trends 
  6. Community management on other company platforms responding to coaching members and non-coaching members messages, DMs, comments, and emails
  7. Be the on-brand voice to our client base to communicate and build excitement for Events, Contests, Webinars, Products and Private FB group communication 
  8. Participates in proactive ideation sessions that improve channel performance and build on campaign ideas
  9. Reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and proper authority
  10. Assist with necessary social media related productions or event activation
  11. Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
  12. Help with other duties as assigned in order to achieve departmental and company goals

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

The right candidate has these skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok).
  • The ability to think strategically and share new ideas
  • Strong communication skills, advanced troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to manage, organize and update relevant data 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • At least one year of working experience in social media for a mid-to-large size company
  • Agency experience in social media is not required but is strongly preferred

Computer and Technical Skills

  • WordPress experience a plus

  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects and work without constant supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize between several projects
  • Ability to communication across functions in order to move projects forward

Language Skills

  • Strong command of the English language and grammar. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee of organizations.
