Toledo Clinic is Hiring a PHYSICAL THERAPIST Near Toledo, OH
This is a Contingent position, days/hours will vary based on the needs of the Physical Therapy department.
Supervision Exercised:
Meets accepted Standards of Practice in directing Licensed PT Assistants to carry out specific treatment plans.
General Summary:
Performs evaluation and treatment of patients, and works with other support personnel to provide appropriate, timely and cost effective care.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new patients and establish functional goals as part of treatment plan.
- Professionally treat patients using any and all modalities and procedures needed to follow a doctor’s prescription.
- Establish treatment protocols in the absence of written protocol from a referring physician.
- Write, type, dictate or in some way legibly recording evaluations, treatments, status reports, discharges, insurance updates and other forms as necessary.
- Discuss the patient’s care with referring physician or representative.
- Maintain current licensure through attendance of seminars and meetings and maintain record of CEU’s and CME’s.
- Assist director by providing input on staff performance if requested.
- Other duties as assigned by director.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Required):
- Current licensure from State of Ohio as Physical Therapist.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
Education:
- Graduation from accredited institution.
Preferred:
- Minimum two years experience in outpatient therapy preferred.
- Experience with EMR preferred.
