This is a Contingent position, days/hours will vary based on the needs of the Physical Therapy department.
Supervision Exercised:
Meets accepted Standards of Practice in directing Licensed PT Assistants to carry out specific treatment plans.

General Summary:
Performs evaluation and treatment of patients, and works with other support personnel to provide appropriate, timely and cost effective care.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate new patients and establish functional goals as part of treatment plan.
2. Professionally treat patients using any and all modalities and procedures needed to follow a doctor’s prescription.
3. Establish treatment protocols in the absence of written protocol from a referring physician.
4. Write, type, dictate or in some way legibly recording evaluations, treatments, status reports, discharges, insurance updates and other forms as necessary.
5. Discuss the patient’s care with referring physician or representative.
6. Maintain current licensure through attendance of seminars and meetings and maintain record of CEU’s and CME’s.
7. Assist director by providing input on staff performance if requested.
8. Other duties as assigned by director.
