Position: Part-Time Computer Science Tutor

Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic part-time Computer Science Tutor to join our team. This position is perfect for individuals who have a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for teaching young minds. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological aptitude of our students, making learning an enjoyable and impactful experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach computer science subjects, including Scratch, Python, digital literacy, and artificial intelligence, to children.
• Develop engaging curriculum and lesson plans that cater to the learning styles of students.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students and provide constructive feedback.
• Attend training sessions and participate in the development of teaching methodologies.

Schedule

• April and May: Weekend classes only, with an expectation of 3-6 classes per weekend.
• Summer (June-August): Approximately 3-5 hours of classes every day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience or strong capability in working with children in an educational setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have US work authorization.
• Preference will be given to candidates available to start with training and teaching in April and May, as this allows more preparation time for summer courses.
