Together is Hiring a Club House Lead Facilitator Near Olympia, WA

JOB TITLE: Club House Lead Facilitator

ROLE: Lead Facilitators fulfill Facilitator duties to work with students and volunteers, guiding
homework help, academic and enrichment activities, physical activities and games, small-group
student meetings, snack and other activities as directed by the Site Coordinator. Additionally,
Lead Facilitators work alongside Club House leadership to organize lesson plans, schedules,
community partners, and participate in trainings with a commitment to learn and follow strategies
as defined by the Club House Dual Language Strategic Plan and the Social Emotional Learning;
Program Quality Assessment (SEL PQA)

HOURS: 30 hours per week during the school year and 30 hours during the 6-week summer program.
Evening and weekend hours may be required, as well as some out-of-town travel.

COMPENSATION: $22.37-$26.37 per hour depending on qualifications, plus benefit package.

LOCATION: The Club House program runs at four sites in North Thurston School District. This
position serves at one of elementary school locations: Pleasant Glade Elementary School. Candidates
must have reliable transportation to and from the TOGETHER! office and program site.

COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: Per Governor Inslee's Proclamation 21-14.1, proof of COVID-19
vaccination is a contingency of employment at TOGETHER!. Effective October 18th 2021 all incoming
employees will be required to promptly provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination status, as
with other authorization-to-work documents required by law.

ACOUNTABLE TO: Club House Site Coordinator and Club House Director(s)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Provide general supervision of students and (pro)actively engage with students during the
Program including meal time, homework, enrichment, recreation, and transitions.
2. Plan and facilitate project-based academic and recreational activities in alignment with
Youth Program Quality guidelines with support from Site Coordinator.
3. Assess students’ needs and interests to design effective programming.
4. Attend weekly staff meetings.
5. Assists in developing students' cognitive capacity, increasing academic skill development,
and respect for learning; foster students' self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
6. Provide direction and encouragement to volunteers.
7. Use YPQI based methods of positive behavior management with guidance from Facilitators and
Site Coordinator.
8. Participate in Youth Program Quality self-assessments, goal setting, and other Youth Program
Quality meetings and tasks.
9. Be a positive conflict mediator and follow procedures for reporting incidents.
10. Maintain professional conduct at all times (arrive at least 15 minutes prior to program every
day, follow procedures for calling in sick, have appropriate boundaries with students etc.).
11. Read and comply with policies adopted by TOGETHER!’s Board of Directors.
12. Read and comply with TOGETHER! employee hand book.

ADDITIONAL LEAD FACILITATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Step in as Site Coordinator if Site Coordinator is not present on site.
2. Provide formal mentoring and guidance to facilitators in relation to Dual Language lesson
planning, SEL PQA, activity management, volunteers, and community partners.
3. Network with local organizations to partner with and procure donations for Club House and
program site.
4. Attend Dual Language trainings and organize Club House trainings and materials.
5. Track volunteer hours at program site.
6. Create thank-you cards for volunteers and donations.
7. Support Site Coordinators with additional supporting projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Pass a background check.
2. Have a current general first aid and CPR certification.
3. Candidates must be age 18 or older.
4. At least two years of volunteer and/or professional experience working with middle school aged
youth.
5. Good organizational, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills.
6. Commitment and ability to support and mentor youth in a positive manner.
7. Willingness to work with socially, culturally, and economically diverse populations.
8. Acknowledgment and understanding of systemic oppression and a commitment to systems change.
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
10. Willingness to follow agency and school-site policies and procedures.
11. Ability to work independently and as a team member, balancing multiple tasks.
12. Commitment to TOGETHER!’s mission, vision, and core values.
13. Strong communication skills and personal desire to work successfully as a member of a team
14. Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bilingual or fluent Spanish-English language skills – written and verbal.

2. Bachelor’s degree.
3. Training in child development.
4. Conflict resolution training and experience.
5. A special skill, hobby, or talent to share with students.
6. Administrative and organizational skills.
