As a Technical Designer, you hold a crucial role in the product creation process, translating design concepts and sketches into premium apparel products. What You'll Do

• Quality Management and Technical Expertise:
• Establish and maintain high-quality standards across all product categories. 
• Create and manage base fits to ensure consistency and precision in garment construction. 
• Develop comprehensive technical files detailing measurements and workmanship instructions to guide production processes. 
• Supplier Collaboration and Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate closely with international garment suppliers and quality control teams to ensure product excellence. 
• Assess samples rigorously, providing detailed feedback on fit and construction, and follow up with suppliers to address any issues. 
• Communicate effectively with vendors, design, merchandising, product development, and production teams to facilitate seamless execution of product strategies. 
• Continuous Learning and Support:
• Stay informed about current trends and market developments to inform design decisions and maintain relevance. 
• Provide technical support and guidance to teammates, leveraging expertise to enhance overall team performance. 
• Undertake special projects as necessary to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency. 
• Documentation and Process Optimization:
• Create and execute size specs and tech packs meticulously, including precise fit, construction, and trim details, ensuring accuracy throughout the production process. 
• Analyze garment fit on live models and forms, adhering to established standards and maintaining consistency. 
• Manage updates of master specs/grade for assigned categories, promoting consistency and efficiency in fit. 
• Library Management and Multi-Sourcing Strategy:
• Establish a comprehensive block library of sketches/patterns for assigned categories, facilitating a multi-sourcing strategy and streamlining production processes.

• 5-7 years of proven experience in technical apparel development within a similar role. 
• Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience coupled with intellectual instruction. 
• Holds certifications in fashion technology, clothing technology, and pattern making. 
• Demonstrates independence, prioritization skills, and a hands-on approach to tasks. 
• Possesses flexibility, precision, and a structured work ethic, thriving in high-pressure environments. 
• Exhibits strong teamwork abilities and a results-driven mindset. 
• Self-motivated with a penchant for creativity and problem-solving, capable of independent work with minimal supervision. 
• Proficient in pattern-drafting with a keen eye for detail and a conceptual understanding of garment specifications. 
• Comprehensive grasp of fit, balance, and garment construction, including knowledge of fabrics and finishes relevant to product fit. 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at presenting recommendations persuasively. 
• Displays an unwavering commitment to attention to detail in all aspects of work.

• Annual Salary Range $64,000 - $94,000. A compensation offer is based on relevant years of experience in relation to the position. 
• This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
