Scope of Work:
The ideal candidate The incumbent will play a pivotal role in executing systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices, providing invaluable engineering expertise across various critical activities including development, testing, evaluation, training, and configuration management in support of an acquisition program. The position involves specialized engineering support in the transport and networking architecture focusing on current and future tactical network capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Execute systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices within the scope of an acquisition program.
Provide expert engineering support in development, testing, evaluation, training, and configuration management.
Offer specialized engineering assistance focused on the transport and networking architecture concerning current and future tactical network capabilities.
Support and conduct design reviews, carrying out comprehensive technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures. This includes facilitating risk assessments and integration strategies.
Provide support for Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) activities.
Offer technical support to evaluate and integrate new technologies for communications modernization.
Collaborate effectively with various organizations including PEO C3T, other PMs and PdMs, ACM, and other Army-wide stakeholders to coordinate interoperability considerations.
Interpret acquisition documentation (e.g., mission needs statements, operational needs statements, ICDs, CDDs, CPDs, technical specifications, etc.) for Army tactical communications systems.
Translate requirements into standards-based and cost-efficient technical solutions.
Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and compliance with requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or a related field.
Must be a US Citizen
Secret Security Clearance.
Minimum of 10 years' tactical network engineering experience.
Extensive experience in network engineering.
Proficiency in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs.
Expertise with routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, etc
