The bar back is to assist the bar staff by helping maintain the cleanliness and stocking of the bar area. Although not directly in contact with guests, a bar back must maintain a friendly demeanor while providing support to bar staff.
Responsibilities:
• Restock glassware, fruit garnishes, bar mixes, cleaning supplies, napkins, and straws
• Keep ice bins full at all times
• Clean and put away glassware throughout the shift
• Maintains all bottled beer, kegs, liquor, and wine pars during and after shift
• Responsible for breakdown of bar area during close
• Assists in cleanliness and organization of all bar area and bar storage
• Assists in bar rotations and bar inventories
• Performs all assigned side work and cleaning duties
• Follows all safety and sanitation protocols
• Disposes of all trash behind the bar during and after shift
• Keeps bar area clean and sanitized at all times
• Performs all steps of service when interacting with guests
• Maintain performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time
Position Qualifications:
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing
• Will adhere to restaurant uniform policy at all times

• Subject to noisy and distracting conditions
• Occasional environmental exposures to heat and cold
• Must be able to transport up to 80 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
