Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, business intelligence, software development, project management, Oracle, Oracle business intelligence enterprise edition (OBIEE), Informatica 10.2, OLAP, data modeling, data architect, datastage, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Abinitio
• Demonstrate deep understanding of current data technology trends such as cloud based solutions (e.g. AWS, S3, EC2, Lambda etc.), RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle etc.) OBIEE 12c, BI Apps.9.6.3, Web Logic Server, Informatica 9.0.1, Oracle 11.2.0.2, SQL, PL/SQL, DAC 7.8.4, TOAD, SQL* Plus, Unix, Windows XP
• Demonstrate ability to leverage cutting edge technology, industry best practices, project management techniques and leadership skills to enable product management and development of technology roadmaps
• Convert established PL/SQL scripts into Informatica using sequencing tables to perform, analyze and creating mappings, sessions, worklets, workflows that utilized parameter files (where necessary)
• Managed strategic projects and clients.
• Achieve client expectations and profitability goals.
• Design, implement, and manage the Veterans Benefits Administration’s (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain EDW.
• Analyze business requirements, propose technical architecture, database design and data mart implementation and conduct overall system evaluations.
• Introduce best practices and software solutions to significantly improve the efficiency and productivity of Enterprise data warehouse.
• Support ETL development using Informatica ETL tool in an Oracle and UNIX environment. Developed ETL mappings for moving and transforming data from Source to target (warehouse / Data mart) areas.
• Design and develop star schemas for data being integrated using new ETL procedures
• Participate in peer review sessions for reviewing code of other developers on the project.
• Lead and work on ad-hoc scripts for handling various ad-hoc requests from the user, which required fast delivery.
• Create documentation to support all aspects of the data
• Follow Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 processes in all development and maintenance activities
• Lead and work on ad-hoc scripts for handling various ad-hoc requests from the user which required fast delivery.
• Reduce backlog of ad-hoc data requests by 50% by implementing self-serve technical solution and process improvements.
• Analyze over 500 historical requests to identify patterns and commonalities
• Provide technical leadership support and take multiple systems and cross-system integration into account when designing and developing solutions.
• Provide analysis of resolve complex issues and guidance on how to resolve defects and bug fixes reported.
• Work closely with the client on system modernization effort and maintenance for current software applications.

Qualifications

• 8 Years of work experience supporting IT projects
• Strong technical and business understanding of agile development
• Must have Extensive ETL (Extract Transform Load) data integration and Data Warehouse experience using Informatica Power Center and Power Exchange 8.6 through 10.1.
• Must have extensive experience in Informatica including with Repository Admin Console, Repository Manager, Designer, Work Flow Manager, Work Flow Monitor, Warehouse Designer, Mapplet Designer, Mapping Designer, Workflow Designer, Task Developer, Worklet Designer, Gant Chart, Task View, Informatica Power Connect for Oracle
• Previous work experience as team lead for multiple projects in Informatica Power Exchange including designing, coding, unit testing, and deploying to data warehouse applications (preferred)
• Experience designing, developing, maintaining and deploying web-based applications in SAS, SQL Server, TOAD, Javascript.
• Ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a team
• Experience with RDBMS databases required; Oracle is preferred.
• Experience with multi-dimensional databases required
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and working with N-Tier Architecture.
• Experience with software testing and design patterns.
• Solid work experience with Toad beneficial
• Expert experience with Informatica required
• Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills
• Passionate about software development and delivering high quality applications
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills is a must
• Must possess a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and initiative
• Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds and management levels
• Solid develop and technical integration skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures
• DevOps skills and experience a plus.
• ITIL Certification is preferred
• Previous work experience in Department of Veterns affairs preferred

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT and/or management related field

Preferred Experience/Certifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of work experience

Clearance:

• Modest Background Investigation/Tier2

Salary Inforamtion: 

• The pay for this position ranges from $65,205 to $134,375.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
