LCG is currently seeking a senior Java developer whoexercises independent judgment and creativity on a regular basis in solving highly complex major technical problems, and in providing guidance and recommendations. May provide technical direction to one or more professional and/or technical persons on an assigned project. Normally works closely with clients and project manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications. Translate design to code and perform unit test on the developed code and applications.
• Work directly and efficiently with other developers, architects, and project leaders.
• Understand and clarify requirements with project manager, architects, and SMEs.
• Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document portions of the overall solution.
• Ensure client’s software development process is followed on the project, based on industry best practices for software development.
• Review code and provide feedback to developers on current and peer teams.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and software patterns.
• Provide configuration management in the development environment.
• Evaluation, testing, configuration management and other software tools that support the software development process.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge in the development of client/server and internet applications that utilize a n-tier architecture and graphical user interface.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Java framework
• Experience with creating data driven web applications, n-tier architecture based applications, enterprise architecture applications, writing user controls, and web controls.
• Working knowledge of common Object-Oriented design patterns, best practices, and frameworks.
• Working knowledge of security in both Linux and Windows environments, as it pertains to web application hosting.
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution.
• Experience in developing scalable web applications.
• Experience working with relational databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL Servers.
• Experience using source code version control software.
• Familiar with Agile development methodology and concepts.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure is a plus.
• Mobile platform development experience is a plus.
• Experience working with Appian.
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps a plus.
• Strong testing skills.

Education/experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/MIS and 7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
