Tip Top Recruiting is Hiring a Luxury Picnic Branch Manager Near New York, NY

We have an immediate need for a part-time Picnic Event Manager for luxury picnics in the Manhattan area. The manager leads all aspects of the luxury picnic events from initial set-up through completion. This includes coordinating set-up, positioning (according to event map) and breakdown of equipment, leading a group of team members while maintaining client and vendor contact to ensure that our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Must have a strong understanding of the event process and have the ability to effectively delegate tasks, and can troubleshoot last-minute changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess knowledge of company policies and safety practices.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, integrity, maturity and flexibility.
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills in dealing with potential revisions to the event set-up.
  • Exhibits excellent guest relations and customer service skills.
  • Need diplomatic negotiation skills with the ability to employ a quick solution.
  • Interacts and communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Remain level headed and calm to meet emergencies with good judgment.
  • Maintain confidentiality when needed.
  • Managing, training and mentoring team members.
  • Guide and assign tasks to team members.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ensure food quality is at its best.
  • Maintains a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Equipment and event troubleshooting.

Event tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Set-up of events.
  • Maintain an accurate account of team members’ in and out times.
  • Checks if team members’ uniforms are clean and complete.
  • Conducts a team meeting before the event.
  • Follows the event timeline as laid out in the contract.
  • All décor and equipment is packed in a manner to protect it to arrive safely and in one working piece back to the warehouse.
  • Make sure the venue or location is cleaner than when we arrived.
  • Reports punctuality for the event call times and documents pre/post event and team member evaluations forms.

Event Lead Requirements:

  • Age 18 and over.
  • Need reliable transportation to get to and from work locations.
  • Verified to work in the United States.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings, and various holidays.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Event planning experience is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Applicants must be reliable, have excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented.
