Tinker Federal Credit Union’s Accounting department has an immediate opening for a Accountant I, II, III, Senior (Sr)! As a Accountant I, II, III, Senior (Sr), you will be responsible for the following:

• Providing TFCU with a wide range of accounting services, while correctly applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Completing duties including, but not limited to; accounts payable or receivable, wire transfers, General Ledger (GL) entries or reconciliation, payroll processing or employee payment verifications, various levels of reporting, branch currency procurement, branch and miscellaneous other deposits, balance investment portfolio(s) and fixed asset, and aiding with the preparation of the quarterly National Credit Union Association (NCUA) Call Report.

Salary Range:

The starting pay for a level l is $ 29.22; however, actual placement increases within the varying levels and will be determined individually based on your education and experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

Education/Experience:

You must have a associate degree in business or related field with 15 credit hours of accounting are required for levels I and II. A bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 30 credit hours of accounting is required for level III and Sr. Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education. Applicable additional education levels may be eligible to satisfy experience requirements.

• Level I: Requires three years’ experience related to accounting and/or finance. Financial institution experience is preferred.
• Level II: Requires four years’ experience related to accounting and/or finance. Financial institution experience is preferred. 
• Level III: Requires two years’ experience related to accounting and/or finance. Financial institution experience is preferred.
• Sr Level: Requires three years’ experience related to accounting and/or finance. Financial institution experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority.
• Certification in Accounts Payable (AP) is preferred for levels I and II but is required for levels III and IV (Six additional months of experience may be substituted in lieu of requirement).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred for levels I,II,III. CPA or Candidacy required for Sr level (18 additional months of experience may be substituted in lieu of requirement).

Keys to success:

In order to be successful as a Accountant I, II, III, Senior (Sr), you must possess these qualifications:

•  Knowledge of GAAP and TFCU policies and procedures.
• Ability to use Credit Union and Accounting systems.
