Tin Roost is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to head our rapidly growing private party & catering events. We’re seeking a go-getter with restaurant experience who is comfortable organizing our many inbound event leads, but also has that hunter mentality who is eager to go out and bring on new business.

Tin Roost is a locally owned, independent restaurant with 2 private party rooms, 400 seats, a scratch kitchen, and one crazy big patio with a killer setting. We do everything from Athletic Caterings to Elaborate Weddings to Adult Easter egg hunts! We’re looking for someone to take our events to the next level. The Sales & Event Coordinator will work directly with the owners, and plays a dynamic role in helping the management team grow the business. This is a full time position and requires open availability as the hours worked in the venue can vary based on when events occur.

Responsibilities include:

• Generating private party sales via seeking and securing new business through incoming leads, networking, and visiting local businesses and organizations
• Sets up, works, and sees through all onsite events from start to finish.
• Responds to all inbound leads from websites, word of mouth, and social media platforms within 24 hours to secure the party
• Manages the construction and bookings of our Winter Igloo Parties
• Effective contract management in enforcing and explaining room minimums, charges and options for private events.
• Assumes responsibility of all events and manages the service team through the event to ensure that guests leave with an unforgettable experience
• Oversee the entire life cycle of an event from sale to execution
• Uses our event management software Tripleseat to organize every event effectively

Qualifications:

• Strong restaurant experience and understanding of the hospitality industry
• Flexible schedule to be able to work a variety of hours including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Sales and Service Experience in the Food, Beverage, or Hospitality industries
• Skilled in graphic design with applications such as InDesign, Canva and Adobe Platforms.
• Vibrant, Positive attitude, with the ability to work well in a team environment. We’re looking for someone to bring the fun!
• Ability to work in an autonomous environment. We’re not micromanagers; we want to know you can get the job done without our hand-holding. A large portion of this job will be spent outside our four walls bringing in sales.
• Thinks outside the box to come up with unique and exciting events that haven’t been done in the area
• Fosters relationships with our vendors and suppliers to partner and sponsor events

Compensation includes an aggressive base commission schedule. We have an existing catering infrastructure and the right performer will be in the six-figure compensation range.

Experience & Education:

• High Volume Event Management: 4 years (Required)
• Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
• A four-year College Degree from an accredited college is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
