Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Solutions Development team working remotely.The Quality Assurance Engineer participates in all phases of the project lifecycle and is responsible for a wide variety of tasks. The Quality Assurance Engineer works with the rest of the QA team to demonstrate commitment to excellence by consistently providing high-quality software that meets our clients’ needs. The role supports project teams by creating testing collateral, test strategies, executing tests throughout the project, managing client UAT cycles, and working closely with other team members to meet sprint and project goals. While the current landscape of testing is manual, there are future opportunities to expand into automation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Provide quality assurance services to a variety of support clients for both web, progressive web, and mobile applicationsDevelop and maintain test strategy documents (testing requirements, UAT handoff/management strategy) and test collateral (test cases, checklists) for all assigned projectsDevelop and maintain user guides, as neededAttend and actively participate in all sprint ceremoniesSupport web and mobile project teams by coordinating and executing testing throughout the sprints and provide prompt feedback in the form of logging bugs or acceptance of featuresWork closely with Business Analysts and UI/UX designers to set priorities for reported bugsMeet or exceed all deliverable deadlines (or else proactively communicate impediments to project teams and/or clients)Serve as QA on multiple implementation and support projects with overlapping prioritiesAssist clients with UAT communication and coordinationOffer feedback to other QA team members and regularly review deliverablesBe an integral part of a self-organizing QA teamSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or business-related field, or equivalent work experienceCertified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL) preferredIdeal candidates will have between 2 and 8 years of experience in software quality assuranceExperience with agile/iterative methodologies requiredExperience with web and mobile testing requiredPrior professional services experience desiredHave a strong attention to detailMust be able to consult and collaborate directly with clientsPossess excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenMust be willing to learn and use new technologiesExhibit good software user instinctsAbility to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment, and manage/communicate priorities effectivelyMust demonstrate reliability, integrity, and steady commitment to excellenceAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
