Core Functions:

  • In-process inspection or bench inspection on a variety of bearing parts to ensure they are within specification
  • Perform simple set-up of gauging equipment, bench operations, or speed lathe operations
  • Inspection of parts under microscope or using gauges
  • Quality Assurance functions including; visual inspections, detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, and defective materials. Rework as necessary
  • Assist with training employee(s) as required
  • Detailed recordkeeping and reporting

General Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary or trades / technical education and certifications preferred
  • High attention to detail with respect to quality of work
  • Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team to meet company and departmental goals

Physical Requirements:

  • Use of hands, legs, both near/far vision, and hearing test (will be administered during in house health physical). Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 25 pounds. Requires walking frequently and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

Timken is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor. We provide priority referrals of protected veterans.
