Timberline Landscaping Inc. is Hiring a Landscape Crew Leader Near Colorado, CO

Timberline Landscaping LLC. is an award-winning company serving Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas, “Creating a Little Bit of Heaven” for over 40 years. We offer a full range of services – landscape design, construction, and maintenance.

This position is a full-time position directly responsible for managing field operations daily crew/ labor as well as the crew leader position is responsible for overall property maintenance, accurate record keeping, submittal of daily paperwork and accurate cost accounting of daily labor. The Crew Leader is also responsible for meeting hours requirements. This position requires the ability to handle complex jobs, specialty equipment and at times, demanding clients. This position must be able to work effectively in a team environment and is responsible for producing quality landscape services that meet or exceed the expectations of both the client and Timberline Landscaping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for crew performance
  • Responsible for training of laborers on crew
  • Must be able to supervise up to 6 employees and carry out instructions given by the supervisor
  • Must have a hands-on working knowledge of the type of work assigned to do
  • Understand how to apply chemical applications to small areas Other functions as assigned
  • Mow Crew:
    • Ability to run mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers and string trimmers

Requirements:?

  • Must be punctual, responsible and have a positive attitude
  • Must be self-driven and reliable
  • Must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Must be able to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals
  • Experience in commercial landscaping or landscaping maintenance
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Creative, pro-active problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to inspire others to their full potential
  • Responsible for maintaining and the upkeep of company equipment
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Experience driving trucks and trailers and operating landscape equipment
  • Must have, or be able to obtain in the first year, a Landscape Industry Certified (LICT) certification
  • Must attend training and/or seminars
  • Must have technical experience operating a smart phone and/or computer

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (ask for help for over 50 lbs.)
  • This is an outdoor job with exposure to adverse weather conditions
  • This job, at a minimum, requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, control of hand tools and small to medium sized machinery
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is predominately found with Mow Crews assigned to city parks
